We believe that businesses are overlooking talent in the autistic, ADHD and dyslexic community. Autistic adults have a higher rate of unemployment and higher mortality than the neurotypical population. Typically our unemployment rate is 80 to 90%.
Yet, we have qualities employers require. We tend to know our subjects of interest very well, and have a productive routine. We tend to be more productive than neurotypical employees. We also tend to have a strong sense of right and wrong.
The LOET exists to re-write perceptions of autistic employment and present ourselves in a powerful new light.
The LOET are gathering our powers to launch services, support, and partners of the League.
